Andy Jagoe, CEO and Founder

Andy is an entrepreneur who has spent the last ten years focused on improving the way people work and live through the use of communications technology. In 1996, he founded Intranet Communications. As CEO, Andy created a MyYahoo-style Internet portal platform software product and closed early stage sales to organizations that included Nissan North America, Pinkerton and Computer Associates International. By early 1999, Intranet Communications was a profitable, cash flow positive business.

In 2000, after recruiting a seasoned management team to run Intranet Communications, Andy left to work as an independent marketing consultant to startups in the mobile location services industry. His time was split between projects in Europe and the United States. This work culminated in Andy publishing a book titled Mobile Location Services with Prentice Hall. He then joined Palm, Inc as a product manager in the wireless software group.

In 2003, Andy joined Netservice Ventures Group to focus on next generation mobile product strategy development for NTT and Sony Mobile Products and to incubate and invest in innovative new mobile media businesses. 3jam was incubated at Netservice Ventures, where Andy remains a partner. Andy holds an MBA and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.

Enlai Chu, CTO and Founder

Enlai co-founded 3jam in 2005 and oversees its technology and infrastructure initiatives. Prior to 3jam, he was Director of Business Development at IPWireless, a leading mobile broadband technology provider. Before joining IPWireless, Enlai founded Local Number Portability and VoIP service provider Number Networks in 2003.

Enlai has been involved with several technology startups in key engineering and product management positions, including at Vovida Networks (acquired by Cisco Systems in 2000), Cathay Networks (acquired by Purple Communications in 2002), and XML Global Technologies. In 1996, Enlai co-founded [essi:ji] entertainment, an events management company specializing in marketing promotions for several nightclubs in Vancouver, Canada.

Enlai holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, and graduated on the Dean’s Honor List with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada. In 2003, he was named "Forbes Future Capitalist" and selected to be a Mayfield Fellow. Enlai also co-founded the UC Berkeley Venture Capital Investment Competition in 2004.

Thad White, Vice President of Products

Thad has been developing and managing leading consumer products for the past 12 years.

Prior to 3jam, Thad served as the senior director of product management for Yahoo!’s mobile business unit. He led the team responsible for extending Yahoo!’s products and services beyond the PC to mobile devices. Thad’s team managed the full product lifecycle for more than a dozen products reaching millions of users. Yahoo!’s mobile product portfolio under Thad’s supervision included the leading US mobile portal and the leading US mobile IM service.

Prior to Yahoo! mobile, Thad was the director of the product management team for Yahoo!’s broadband business unit and was responsible for launching the industry- leading SBC Yahoo! Dial and DSL services.

Prior to joining Yahoo!, Thad was a consultant with Accenture in Washington, DC, where he helped a major telecommunications company launch its first consumer Internet service. Thad holds a bachelor’s degree from Rice University.

Lars Fjeldsoe-Nielsen, Vice President of Sales

Lars is responsible for building distribution relationships with mobile operators, handset manufacturers and other high traffic web destinations to extend the 3jam footprint globally.

Prior to 3jam Lars was part of the executive management team at Voicesignal Technologies, which offered embedded voice recognition and advertising sponsored search to OEMs. The company was sold in August 2007 to Nuance for $300 million.

Previously to Voicesignal Lars was responsible for building Tegic’s European business by licensing T9 predictive text input to OEMs including Nokia, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Sagem and an extensive list of ODMs. The software was embedded and has shipped on more than 2 billion devices since then.

Early in his career Lars started up his own web company, BizzAdvice, a peer to peer business advice site — the company continues in operation today. Lars has a Masters degree from University of Oxford, holds an MBA from London Business School and an undergraduate degree from University of London King’s College. Lars speaks 5 languages.

Madeline Duva

Madeline has over 20 years experience (17 years in Silicon Valley) as a software entrepreneur and executive. She has been instrumental in developing and executing strategic initiatives for early stage companies throughout her career.

After several years at Fidelity, she moved to Silicon Valley where she held senior managerial posts at Communication Intelligence Corp (twice taking that company to greater than $1B market cap), PenOp, Dejima, and Revere Data. Most recently, Madeline was CEO of China MobileSoft, which was successfully acquired by PalmSource. After the acquisition, she held the position of VP Silicon and ODM partners for PalmSource. She received her BA and MA with honors in LAS/Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Michael Llewellyn-Williams, Principal, BrandMechanics

Dr. Michael Llewellyn-Williams has worked in account planning and brand consulting for over 27 years in the U.K., Europe, the United States and Asia. Michael has provided brand strategy and consulting for the following companies: Disney, BMW, Scion, HP, Miller, Visa, McDonalds, SBC, Boston Consulting Group, EA, Shell, McKinsey, Intershop, 3M, AAA, Bank of America, Mount Gay Rum, Openwave, Pfizer, Swiss Miss, Qantas, Converse and Accenture.

Paul Martino, CEO and CTO, Aggregate Knowledge

Paul is a serial entrepreneur who was the founding CTO of Tribe.net and founding CEO of Ahpah Software, a Java security company. He has previously held senior business development positions at Intertrust and SkyPilot.

Mark Addison

Mark is the founder and president of Rocket Science, a division of MXA Rocket Inc. Mark has accrued more than 20 years of marketing expertise -- from helping VC-backed start-ups define their niche to helping Fortune 500 companies manage their corporate reputations and sharpen their image. Mark’s proven ability to distinguish his clients from the masses has won awards, and earned him respect from analysts, press and clients alike.

Prior to founding Rocket Science in 1996, Mark was dual vice president of Golin/Harris Technologies and Access Communications (both Miller-Shandwick companies) -- one of the top-5 nationwide PR agencies serving the high-tech industry. Mark spent his early career in market research and branding while working as a senior consultant at a branding strategy firm formed out of Stanford Research Institute’s (SRI) renowned VALS program. Mark earned his B.A. from U.C. Berkeley, and his M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School at U.C.L.A.
